Brochures are still very effective when it comes to spreading the word about a product, service, event, or any other information that you may want to share. It is a great sales and marketing material that can be reused again and again. And what’s great is that there are a lot of different options for brochure printing that you can choose from; each have their own unique functions that can complement what you are trying to convey.

Types of Brochure Printing

A brochure can range from having 4 pages all the way up to having 12 pages. As for the design, it can handle any colour and is available in different paper sizes such as DL, A2, A3, A4, and A5. The possibilities are endless. Then of course, there are different folds to choose from for your brochure printing needs.

1. Single Fold

Single Fold

Also known as the half-fold, the single fold is the simplest brochure printing option there is. This basically takes a single piece of paper and is then folded in half. This creates a booklet type appearance that provides 4 pages in total; the front, the second and third page when opened, then the back.

This is a great option for telling a story. You can first introduce the idea using the front, then provide more details inside. The call to action or the final message you want to leave can then be found at the back.

2. Tri-Fold

Tri Fold

When it comes to the most used and most popular brochure printing options, the trifold immediately comes to mind. This is where a piece of paper is folded twice to create three separate portions. The right and left panels fold onto the central panel; usually the left panel is on top of everything.

This offers less space for content on each panel but with the use of a clever design, this can actually deliver information really well. This is great for providing focus onto individual products per panel so that it is easy to read and digest.

3. Z Fold

Z Fold

Also known as the fan fold, this brochure printing option takes a piece of paper and folds it twice. The difference between this and the trifold is the direction of the fold since the panels here do not fold onto each other. This gives us three panels on each side of the paper for a total of six pages.

You have the option of using the three panels separately or have the content run across the entire page when opened. The interactivity here is great as you can actually use one panel to introduce the next.

4. Roll Fold

Roll Fold

The roll fold is a brochure printing option that gives at least 4 panels. The paper is folded inwards from the right and the left panel is then folded over everything.

This gives a lot of pages to work with which is great in showcasing several different products or services. It allows readers to take in the information in an orderly fashion.

5. Concertina Fold

Concertina Fold

If you need more pages, the concertina fold gives you the most. Also known as the accordion fold, this brochure printing option takes a piece of paper and folds it on opposite directions multiple times. This gives 8 pages in total.

Information can be separated by panel or it can run across the entire thing as well. It can be designed in such a way that it gives information little by little as the pages are unfolded one by one.
